I'm torn between 3-4 stars. So far as looks go, its a upscale product. It seems its anywhere between Ultra and Mid-century modern. Large as others have stated 's no bright Apple store white, but in fact more of an off, vanilla. That being said this futon is 4 feet from a stark bright white desk but neither piece looks out of place, also incandescent lighting will cast a reasonable warm light around the room that they almost end up being the same color. From an assembly standpoint I'd say its a 3 or even a 4 dependant on when it's time to turnover it right side up. The Two halves are tied together using a standard hinge and flipping it over on your own can be a chore as there is a great deal flex it appears as if its likely to break. 2 people flipping concurrently solves the problem but it can be done by yourself as well, you simply can't toss it on its feet is I'm saying. The feet, while metal, can be a VERY thin gauge tubing. I could understand as other people have said the legs have snapped with the welds why. In order to avoid that never do the typical sitting adjustment in which you just suddenly thrust or scoot your system to alter sitting position, I'd imagine that is what puts the lateral torque that causes welds to break, sideways. Simply a thicker gauge metal would resolve any worries. Not really sure how it may be reinforced other than the property owner adding wood feet somewhere else, but that will take me to my next point. So far I believe I'm 3-four weeks into ownership, and as there is no sagging for the FRAME by yet, I can tell where you will find there's possibility for it with long lasting use. In futon mode I think it would be the perfect foundation to place a twin or adult size blow up mattress on with an occasional unexpectedly guest bed. Purchasing it bare for any full night generally is a stretch however for a good intermittent afternoon nap, I had created no issues the main one time I tried it. I would not get people that expect futons to be a fulltime primary bed and wish enhanced comfort of the tempurpedic, a futon is identical void like a daybed, occasional sleeping for naps or temporary guests if you don't take up how big is the full time dedicated framed mattress bed. Now in terms of the fabric, the faux leather/pleather looks nice, yet it's very very, very, very, thin. It is possible to tell by simply pushing your finger into it how thin it can be. due to this, I could say dogs, cats, and kids looking at this might destroy it in about 10 minutes. it's just this type of thin, soft material, that I just honestly believe that the covering will wear out prior to the frame, cushioning, etc.I've several faux leather ottomans from Target and they are generally an extremely thicker, resilient material than this. The thinness with the covering will even show stretching pretty fast, there exists a side containing more wrinkles than the other from just the occasional use.
