I'm torn between 3-4 stars. As far as looks go, its a 5 star product. It appears its approximately Ultra and Mid-century modern. The color as others have stated is not a bright Apple store white, but in fact more of an off, vanilla. That being said this futon is 4 feet faraway from a stark white-colored desk but neither piece looks homeless, also incandescent lighting will cast a good enough warm light around the room that they can almost ended up being the same color. From your assembly standpoint I'd say its a 3 or perhaps a 4 based on when the time comes to turnover it right side up. The 2 halves are tied together using a standard hinge and flipping it over alone can be quite a chore because there is much flex it seems like its likely to break. 2 people flipping simultaneously solves the matter but easy it really is on your own too, you only can't toss it on its feet is perhaps all I'm saying. I would not get folks that expect futons to be a full-time primary bed and want enhanced comfort of a tempurpedic, a futon is similar void like a daybed, occasional sleeping for naps or temporary guests without taking up how big is an entire time dedicated framed mattress bed. Now as far as the pad, the faux leather/pleather looks nice, yet it's extra, very, very, thin. You can tell just by pushing your finger in it how thin it's. because of this, I'm able to say dogs, cats, and youngsters located on this may destroy it inside 10 minutes. it is only such a thin, soft material, that we just honestly believe that the covering will wear out a long time before the frame, cushioning, etc.We have several faux leather ottomans from Target and they're a significantly thicker, resilient material than this. The thinness in the covering will also show stretching pretty fast, there's a side that has more wrinkles compared to other from exactly the occasional use. However the tufted design tends to hide it, and also a few pillows that will be there anyway. Sorry for this kind of long review however, I'm always glad to see thorough review for items I'm considering.
