I'm torn between 3-4 stars. As much as looks go, its a upscale product. It seems its somewhere within Ultra and Mid-century modern. The color as others have stated isn't an bright Apple store white, but in fact really an off, vanilla. Having said that this futon is 4 feet from a stark white desk but neither piece looks out of place, also incandescent lighting will cast enough of a warm light for the room that they can almost become the same color. From an assembly standpoint I'd say its a 3 or possibly a 4 based upon when it's time to flip it right side up. I don't get people that expect futons to be a regular primary bed and need the comfort of your tempurpedic, a futon is identical void as a daybed, occasional sleeping for naps or temporary guests without using up the dimensions of a full time dedicated framed mattress bed. Now in terms of the fabric, the faux leather/pleather looks nice, however it is very very, very, very, thin.
