I'm torn between 3-4 stars. As far as looks go, its a upscale product. It appears its somewhere between Ultra and Mid-century modern. The color as others have stated is not a bright Apple store white, but in fact really an off, vanilla. With that in mind this futon is 4 feet away from a stark white desk but neither piece looks unnatural, also incandescent lighting will cast a reasonable warm light around the room which they almost become the same color. From an assembly standpoint I'd say its a 3 or possibly a 4 based on when the time comes to turnover it right side up. Both The halves are tied together with a standard hinge and flipping it over by yourself can be a chore as there is much flex it seems like as if its gonna break. 2 people flipping concurrently solves the situation but it is possible all on your own as well, you simply can't toss it on its feet is I'm saying. The feet, while metal, really are a VERY thin gauge tubing. I'm able to understand as other people have said the legs have snapped with the welds why. In order to avoid that do not perform typical sitting adjustment in which you just suddenly thrust or scoot your body to alter sitting position, I'd imagine it is exactly what puts the lateral torque that creates welds to break, sideways. Only a thicker gauge metal would resolve any worries. Definitely not sure how maybe it's reinforced apart from the owner adding wood feet somewhere else, but that will take me to my next point. Thus far I do think I'm 3-a month into ownership, and as there is no sagging towards the FRAME at the time of yet, I can see where there exists a possibility for this with long-term use. Just for the sake of disclosure We have the product during my front office/computer game room in your own home, there could be per week where I can't even use there, not to mention take a seat, but you will have spurts much like the last two weeks We have laid with this for 4 hours every night playing xbox. If the item was utilized being a daily life room sofa with multiple people at the same time I think it would be much more temporary than the sporadic use mine gets.We are 5'11ish I assume and 210lbs. I'm it is comfortable so long as you understand how it's, it is not some super cushy sofa your likely to sink down into watching Netflix for 12 hours. The simplest way to describe the cushion/padding of this is similar to a waiting room chair or seats at the theatre. They have cushion to it, however it is a company cushion. It's not at all essentially the most comfortable but there's a lot much better than a solid plastic or wood chair without cushion in any way. In futon mode I think it would be the perfect foundation to set a twin or adult size air mattress on on an occasional spur of the moment guest bed. Purchasing it bare for the full night can be quite a stretch but for an occasional afternoon nap, I'd no issues the one time I attempted it. I can't get people who expect futons to become fulltime primary bed and want enhanced comfort of a tempurpedic, a futon is the same void as being a daybed, occasional sleeping for naps or temporary guests without using up how big is an entire time dedicated framed mattress bed. Now so far as the fabric, the faux leather/pleather looks nice, but it is very very, very, very, thin. You'll be able to tell by just pushing your finger into it how thin it really is. because of this, I could say dogs, cats, and youngsters standing on this can destroy it inside 10 minutes. it's just this type of thin, soft material, that we just honestly believe the covering will break prior to the frame, cushioning, etc.I have several faux leather ottomans from Target and they are a significantly thicker, resilient material than this. The thinness in the covering will even show stretching pretty fast, there is a side containing more wrinkles compared to other from the occasional use. Nevertheless the tufted design tends to hide it, as well as a few pillows that is to be on the anyway.
